As a part of the training programme and after the completion of the training program, De-suup trainees are sent for "Internship/On-the-job-training" for a prescribed duration in the industry and organizations. The main objectives for this are to enable the candidates to:

• Apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations and appreciate the limitation of knowledge gained in the classroom and workshops.
• Be exposed to the current technological developments relevant to the subject area to which the training pertains.
• Appreciate the skills, practices and processes involved in the field, construction, manufacture, installation, assembly, testing, maintenance and other areas or operation.
• Understand the social, economic and administrative considerations that influence the working of an industrial organization.
• Appreciate the importance of discipline, punctuality, teamwork, sense of responsibility, value of time & money and dignity of labour.
• Appreciate research and development, innovation and improvement, expansion and diversification and modernization being carried out and planned in the industry.
