Training of Trainers () on Entrepreneurship Development- New Business Creation
The De-Suung Skilling Program( Post-DSP) and Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship under the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Employment (MoICE) successfully concluded a 15-day Training of Trainers () on Entrepreneurship Development- New Business Creation.
Held from November 4β20, 2024, the initiative aimed to address youth unemployment by fostering entrepreneurship and building the capacity of key stakeholders to promote self-employment and economic growth.
The opening session was graced by Advisor, De-Suung Skilling Program and Director General, Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship.
The program trained 27 participants, including civil servants, instructors, and representatives from Entrepreneurship Support Organizations, Civil Society Organizations, and financial and academic institutions. Participants engaged in seven modules, covering topics such as business model generation, design thinking, and business plan preparation. The training was delivered using the Competency-based Economies through the Formation of Enterprises (CEFE) methodology, emphasizing hands-on learning through simulations, role-plays, and industrial visits.
The program also featured visits to local enterprises, including Production, Manufacturing, and services sectors providing participants with real-world insights into entrepreneurial challenges and successes.
The closing ceremony was honored by the presence of the Governor of Gelephu Mindfulness City, who delivered an inspiring address on the significance of entrepreneurship in fostering community growth and innovation. During the event, certificates were awarded to participants in recognition of their dedication and commitment, marking the successful conclusion of this impactful initiative.
This initiative reflects MoICEβs commitment to tackling unemployment and empowering a new generation of Bhutanese entrepreneurs to drive sustainable economic growth.
