The DSP in 'Web Development' and 'App Development with Flutter' commenced on 10 June 2024 at the DSP Training centre, Gyalposhing, Mongar

The DSP in 'Web Development' and 'App Development with Flutter' commenced on 10 June 2024 at the DSP Training centre, Gyalposhing, Mongar. 29 De-suups are participating in the Web Development course and 19 De-suups are participating in the App. Development course for duration of 4 months.

Mr. Kamrul Islam is the expert trainer for Web Development and Mehedi Hasan is the expert trainer for App Development. Both the experts are from Learnio.


Drup_ge (Sword & Blade Crafts De-suups) won Nu 500,000

Drup_ge (Sword & Blade Crafts De-suups) won Nu 500,000 to upscale their business after winning at the Springboard Plus Programme (SBPP) 2024. Drup_ge triumphed among 18 startups to win the first prize. The De-suups were trained in Sword and blade crafts by DSP and are now operating and managing the DSP Forge workshop at Taba, Thimphu.

DreamTales Animation Studio won an amount of Nu 300,000 to upscale their business after securing the 3rd position at the Springboard Plus Programme (SBPP) 2024. De-suups who have established DreamTales Animation were trained in Animation and Filmmaking by DSP for a period of 1 year under the trainer, Mr. Nelson, and are now operating at Cheogo Business Center. Currently, they deal with 3D logo motions, business and product advertisements, and graphic design.

The SBPP programme is spearheaded by the Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship in collaboration with UNDP Bhutan and Loden Foundation.

DSP in 'Web Development course' concluded on 05 June 2024

DSP in 'Web Development course' concluded on 05 June 2024. 18 De-suups participated in the program for duration of 3 months at the DSP Training Centre, Phaduna, Punakha. Ms. Joanna Koh from Singapore was the Expert Trainer.

The trainees have successfully acquired proficiency in HTML, CSS, and web design principles, culminating in the development of their personal websites showcasing their newfound skills.

The trainees as their final projects, revamped the websites for 'Guide Association of Bhutan' & 'Khuru Khuru Hotel Punakha', and created two websites for 'Lotus Camp, Punakha' and 'Bhutan Spa and Wellness Portal'.

Congratulations De-suup trainees and Ms. Joanna for the amazing work done.


DSP in 'Culinary Arts - Intermediate course (7th cohort)' commenced on 27 May 2024

DSP in 'Culinary Arts - Intermediate course (7th cohort)' commenced on 27 May 2024 at the DSP Training Centre, Serzhong, Gelephu.

26 De-suups who have undergone DSP in Culinary Arts - Foundation training will undergo the training for duration of 3 months.

Chef Cyril Guiterrez is the Expert Trainer and De-suup Sherab Zangmo & De-suup Dorji Wangmo are the Assistant Trainers.


13 De-suups completed the DSP in 'Basic Ceramics and Sculpture'

13 De-suups completed the DSP in 'Basic Ceramics and Sculpture' on 15 May 2024 held at the DSP training centre, Taba, Thimphu for duration of 2 months.

De-suup Kharka & De-suup Melam both who have received advanced training in-country and opportunities to upskill in Thailand and Vietnam were the training instructors.

13 De-suups, who have honed their skills in Culinary Arts and Bakery & Pastry, embarked on a remarkable culinary journey at Project HOPE, RBP, Thimphu. Over two weeks, they delved deep into the artistry of Japanese cuisine under the guidance of Chef Haruaki Matsuoka from Japan! ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ

Successful conclusion of DSP in 'Integrated Fitness Training (IFT)

We're thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of the 7th cohort of DSP in 'Integrated Fitness Training (IFT): Strength & Nutrition, Body Combat, Zumba'! ๐Ÿ‹๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿฅฆ๐Ÿ’ƒ

Congratulations to the 28 De-suups who dedicated themselves to this intensive two-month program at Dechencholing, Thimphu! Under the guidance of DSP Certified De-suups: Mr. Tenzin Duba, Ms. Nedup Zangmo, Mr. Sangay Tenzin, Ms. Tshering Lhamo, Mr. Tandin Wangchuk, and Mr. Jigme Thinley, participants immersed themselves in a wide range of fitness disciplines.

From mastering workout techniques to boosting flexibility and understanding the importance of diet and nutrition, this journey was nothing short of transformative. We're especially proud to share the remarkable physical transformations witnessed, including an average weight loss of 10 kg for male and 8 kg for female trainees! ๐Ÿ’ช

Selected De-suups from the 3 cohorts will undergo Integrated Fitness Training (IFT): Strength & Nutrition, Body Combat, Zumba - Intermediate level in June 2024.


DSP in Soft Toy from scrap materials concluded in Phaduna, Punakha.

Today, the two months DSP in Soft Toy from scrap materials concluded in Phaduna, Punakha.

The two expert trainers from Thailand, Ms. Mullika Songkhoa and Ms. Chittraporn Udomkantrong trained the 16 Desuups to cut and sew soft toy patterns by hand and use sewing machines as well.

Hon'ble Kesang Chuki Dorjee thanked the expert trainers for volunteering their time to support the Desuung Skilling Programme. She also congratulated the Desuups and encouraged them to continue to design and sell their products.

Their soft toys will soon be available at Choego.

Seven De-suups competed their "Intermediate Level" metal smith training working with silver at the Taba training center.

These De-suups were the top performers of the previous batches of basic metal smithing trainings.

They were trained by experts from the USA, Michael McRae and Jacob D. Morgan.

The students learned how to create stamps for their jewellery from a sixth generation Navajo Silversmith, Jacob D. Morgan. The two weeks course, materials and trainer was sponsored by the Rio Grande company in the USA.

With Michael McRae, the Desuups continued to work on honing their skills as they made necklaces, cuffs, rings and earrings in silver.
